ODI VERONICA NKECHI, (FCA, FCIT, MBA), was born on the 11th of November 1971 and had her education at St Maria Goretti, Benin City where she obtained her WAEC. She thereafter attended Bayero University where she obtained a B.sc in Accounting and graduated with a second class upper division (1995).

She also proceeded to the University of Lagos where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) (1999).

She was the Chairman of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Amuwo & District from 2022 to 2023 and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Institute of Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCIT).

She has worked in various capacities at the Federal Ministry of Finance, Office of the Accountant General of the Federation.

As a Federal Pay Officer 1, Lagos and Ogun States from 2009 to 2024

She has audited various federal government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) over the years thereby helping to ensure fiscal discipline and accountability by teaching these agencies financial regulations and various ways of ensuring compliance to the extant rules.

She has held various portfolios in the office of Accountant general of the federation until she is promoted to the Post of Director (Accounts) and is posted to Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy and Tourism on 5th February, 2024 as Director Audit.

She is married and blessed with children.
