We are delighted to celebrate Nigerian animators who showcased their exceptional creativity at the 2024 Annecy Animation Festival often referred to as the “Cannes” of animation. FMACCE is at the Annecy Animation Festival to support the Nigerian talents as they participate in the Annecy International Animation Film Market and continue to break barriers and cross boarders.
@animationng in partnership with the @franceinnigeria with support from Mr Christophe Pecot Audiovisual Attaché · French Embassy in Nigeria, hosted a session at the festival titled “Naija to the World: Exploring Nigeria’s Colorful Global Narratives through Animation.” This pitch session featured five Nigerian animation studios, Utilizing this platform to promote Nigerian cultural heritage and create networking opportunities, while also sparking conversations around investment in the Nigerian market. This event aligns with FMACCE’s @destination2030nigeria vision, aiming to establish Nigeria as the creative capital of the world.

As a highly collaborative venture requiring the assembly of large teams, the Animation sector has the potential to offer significant employment opportunities to the Nigerian youth.
In addition to output from local studios, with a cost of production considerably lower than in other markets, Nigeria could become a new attractive option for global animation studios looking to outsource some of their work.
With 3 key drivers in the forefront the ministry identified areas in which we will see a positive long-term ripple effect across the sector by participating in Annecy Animation Festival, the biggest global animation festival.
