The centre was established but not equipped for the sole purpose of providing free teaching, learning and acquisition of cultural heritage – based skills which includes weaving, drawing, moulding, tailoring, plaiting etc. The main purpose of the centre was for the provision of basic teaching and training in requisite skills needed in arts and craft industry in order to engage youths in art and craft production.
