IBIENE ROBERTS FNIM, OON, BOW OUT OF SERVICE AS SHE HANDS OVER THE MANTLE OF LEADERSHIP.

The official handing-over and taking over from Ibiene Roberts FNIM, OON the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy was held at the Permanent Secretary’s conference room, Block D, first floor, Federal Secretariat, Phase II, Abuja. She officially hands over the mantle of leadership to Mr Raphael Obi Oraeluno, Director, Planning, Research and Statistics now overseeing the office of the Permanent Secretary.

The retiring Permanent Secretary Ibiene Roberts in her valedictory remarks, shares her bitter-sweet experiences and achievements while in the helms of the affairs of the ministry in the past ninety days. She also extends her warm gratitude to the Honorable Minister Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative economy, Barr. Hannatu Musa Musawa and the entire management team.

She listed some of her achievements during her brief stay in the ministry to includes;

-Assessment visit to the National Theater, Iganmu Lagos,

-Launching of the Performance Management System for the Ministry.

-The PMS training for staff, and

-One day retreat for Directors and Heads of Agencies and Parastatals under the Ministry.

In his remarks, the Director overseeing the Permanent Secretary’s office, Mr Raphael Obi Oraeluno appreciates the retired Permanent Secretary for giving him the platform and the rare opportunity to contribute his own quota to the Ministry’s development. 

He promised to sustain the good legacies the retired Permanent Secretary laid in the Ministry having worked in the ministry when it was formerly known as the Federal Ministry of Culture, Tourism and National Orientation.

He also seeks the collaboration, encouragement and support of his Director colleagues in achieving the set goals and objectives of the Ministry. He thanked God for the life of the retired Permanent Secretary while wishing her well in her future endeavors.

Goodwill messages trickles down as the Directors took turns to shower encomiums on the retired Permanent and pray for a better life after retirement for her and also pledges their unalloyed supports to the Director overseeing the office of the Permanent Secretary. 

The Directors also expressed their profound appreciation to the retired Permanent Secretary for her motherly roles, advice, staff welfare and above all, the hand of love she extended to all members of staff while in office.
