MOC FOR THE 1ST NATIONAL COUNCIL INAUGURATED     

    Ministerial Organising Committee (MOC) for the forthcoming 1st National Council for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy was inaugurated. The Overseeing Director, Office of the Permanent Secretary, Mr Raphael. O. Oraeluno who inaugurated the Ministerial Organising members urge members to work in synergy in order to realise the set objectives. Members constituting the Ministerial Organising Committee (MOC) are all Directors and Heads of Units.

    The chair of the Ministerial Organising Committee (MOC), is the Director Planning, Research and Statistics, who is also the Director overseeing office of the Permanent secretary Mr Raphael Oraelume. In the course of the inauguration, he created (8) Sub-committees that would work in harmony with the main council committee of the whole in order to achieve the set objectives.

The 8 sub-committees are: -

1.    Entertainment sub-committee

2.    Media and Publicity sub-committee

3.    Protocols & Logistics sub-committee

4.    Security sub-committee

5.    Secretariat sub-committee

6.    Budget And Finance sub-committee

7.    Venue/accommodation sub-committee

8.    Council secretariat headed by Director PRS

Terms of reference for each of the sub-committee will be unveil in the next meeting. Meanwhile Directors & Heads of Units are required to nominate between three to five members under their departments or units to constitute members of the sub-committees.

COUNCIL THEME: The theme for the 1st council for Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy was thrown open for members to deliberate and revert back to Planning, Research and Statistics Department of the Ministry.
